Held at the historic Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island from Tuesday, May 28, to Friday, May 31, 2024, the event will bring nationally recognized speakers and statewide thought leaders to the island to discuss key issues facing the state.

The 2024 Conference Chair Suzanne Shank, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Co-founder of Siebert Williams Shank & Co., LLC, will lead an advisory committee of Michigan-based chief executive officers and Chamber leadership to ensure the agenda tackles critical issues under the theme of, “Bridging the Future Together.

Bridging the Future Together

The 2024 Mackinac Policy Conference will focus on “Bridging the Future Together” to inspire radical collaboration across divides. When it comes to our greatest issues and opportunities, Michigan will prosper when its leaders engage with mutual respect and build bridges to move forward regardless of political party, industry, or geographic location.

Conference speakers and sessions will focus on key themes critical to Michigan’s future including:

  • Attracting businesses and jobs
  • Improving education outcomes to ensure workforce readiness
  • Strengthening infrastructure
  • Leading with innovation and equity

Registration Update

Registration for the 2024 Mackinac Policy Conference has reached capacity and is now closed. There is a waitlist for individuals who are interested in attending but are not yet registered. Once you have joined the waitlist, a representative from the Detroit Regional Chamber will contact you if a registration spot becomes available.

Accommodations Update

The Detroit Regional Chamber has received feedback from members regarding the room reservation process for the 2024 Mackinac Policy Conference. The Chamber team apologizes for the frustration members experienced on the hotel call-in day, Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Chamber leadership is working on a long-term solution with Island leaders and hotel owners to improve the process our members use for making hotel reservations and increase the number of rooms for attendees. Read more.
