DETROIT REGIONAL CHAMBER ADJUSTS 2012 MACKINAC POLICY CONFERENCE DATES DUE TO RETURN OF DETROIT GRAND PRIX
DETROIT, October 12, 2011 -- Today the Detroit Regional Chamber announced it will adjust the dates of the 2012 Mackinac Policy Conference, it will be held Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, June 1.
“In recognition of the return of the Grand Prix to Detroit and in support of this great event, the Detroit Regional Chamber has adjusted the dates of the 2012 Mackinac Policy Conference. It will begin a day earlier, on Tuesday, May 29, with Conference programming to conclude in time for an early departure on Friday, June 1,” said Sandy K. Baruah, president and chief executive officer of the Detroit Regional Chamber. “Adjusting the dates of the Chamber’s annual Mackinac Policy Conference will allow for our business members and government leadership to participate in both events.”
“The 2011 Mackinac Policy Conference set a new bar for energy, engagement and participation from leadership from all parts of Michigan. The 2012 Conference will build on that momentum, and report out on the 2011 action items,” said Baruah.
