General Session - Defining the Road to Economic Recovery - Theatre

"What's wrong with Michigan?" is the question John Rakolta, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Walbridge, has been asking audiences across the state - and that is why this always provocative and insightful business leader will kick off the 2010 Mackinac Policy Conference.

Rakolta and the panel will examine issues such as: Where's the sense of urgency? How do we move past identifying our problems and implement solutions? How do we break down barriers (political, racial, and geographic)? How do we successfully tackle the root causes of our challenges - not just cover them with band-aids?

In addition to the thought-provoking discussion to set the stage for the entire conference, you will see a new interactive element never before seen at Mackinac that will be a visual delight - and equally intellectually stimulating. Mackinac 2010 will open with some "in your face" frank discussion. Get to the Island early, and get ready to put on your thinking cap. You won't want to miss this.
